Our Guiding Principles Where did the name "Turtle Cove Dental" comes from?
A friend and I had taken our kids to Mall of America, Underwater World. They have a turtle tank that the kids loved. Later, I saw a web site for marketing that said "don't be the average McDentist with a fish tank." My wife and I were thinking one night of attributes we wanted the office to express, and we started to write down the words:
T - tranquil and trusting
U - understanding
R - relationship-building
T - teaching
L - listening
E - educating
I looked at the list vertically with the first letters of each word and saw "turtle." I don't know how it happened, but it set off a chain reaction of epiphanies and the name was set

I had not gone to the dentist for a very long time out of fear and bad experiences. A co-worker of my referred me to Turtle Cove because she was sick of hearing me complain to her. It took about one minute to feel comfortable after Dr. Prohofsky explained everything to me about why my teeth were bothering me and what needed to be done. All I can say is WOW! I can chew again!!

If you want to go to a dentist who listens and explains things clearly, here is the office. Very nice people. Everything about my appointment was a joy! I would recommend Dr. P to anyone looking for a great dentist!!
